Small habits equal big wins. Changing some small things such as the time you wake up can have a huge effect on your life. When you compound little things they become big things. Same goes for small healthy habits. Compound enough small changes and you can accomplish so much, and really change your life for the better, with minimal effort.
When we make little changes, and see improvements it has this snowball effect, we suddenly crave more. We strive to be better than we were yesterday. Little habits that are so easy have a huge impact when stacked together. As humans, it is in our nature to want more. So, why not make these changes. Create the habits and want more good things for ourselves. Even if we get just a little better than we were each month, by this time next year, your entire existence could have drastically changed for the better and you will continue to grow and thrive!
Here's are my top 7 small habits to implement into your daily life that will help you to get to the place, or become the person you dream of being.
Wake up an hour earlier- Use this hour as your "me time". Time to get in some movement and set your intentions for the day before kids or work or whatever else demands your attention
Morning movment- Getting in a workout, even just a walk is huge. Not only will you see results in your physical appearance, but your mood, sleep and energy will greatly improve too. 20 minutes, 30 minute, an hour. Whatever time you can spare to make this a realistic priority is amazing.
No screen time for the first hour of waking up and the last hour before bed. - I know this isn't always possible but try as often as you can. Picking up our phones first thing in the morning, immediately causes stress on the brain, slows down our morning routines and disrupts productivity. Using your phone before bed disrupts sleep making it harder to fall asleep. Our brains digest information so quickly, give your mind a rest before bed and sleep will greatly improve- side effects of this will mean you having more energy for a productive day.
Drink Water- I will say this on repeat until the day I die. Water is key, Hydration is huge. Drink water will help you to feel great, keep your digestive system functioning and your skin glowing.
Journal- Even a few times a week, but daily if you can. Journal your thoughts, dreams, and goals. Journal your feelings and things you're grateful for. Writing is therapeutic and can help you to relaize your own true feelings an aspirations.
Get a planner and use it- Planning out your week on Sundays has had an amazing effect on my life. Sitting down going over emails and calendars. Writing down each days plans including workouts, rest days, and planning meals. On top of work, kids sports and events, appointments, and anything else that needs to be done that week will organize your life and take away the anxiety and stress of just jumping in day by day. I have a great planner I got on amazon which also lets me write out my healthy habits for the week, weekly goals and prioritys and has a space to check in with yourself and reflect.
Do weekly and monthly goals and check ins- Again using a planner that has this built in is very helpful. You can also do this in a journal, or in the notes on your phone. Remember a task is something you feel relief from when completed. A goal is something you feel joy from once achieved. Figure out your tasks and goals, write them down and check in often to hold yourself accountable.
If you implement all these small habits, one by one, or all at once, whatever makes more sense for you. I promise your life will get better. You will get better. Becoming a better version of yourself, more driven, crushing goals and making your dreams come true. Let's be real, these things are all simple things that don't take a lot of time but when put together can help you to get exactly where you want to be.
With the new year on the horizon now is a perfect time to start. They say it takes 3 weeks to make a habit, and 3 weeks to break a habit. So, if you started now, but January 1st you will already have set yourself up for success and be better ready to crush your goals for 2025!

Love,
Celeste
