Get up and get going, before you have time to convince yourself otherwise..

I am a firm believer in getting out of bed and getting moving. I can tell you it's the ultimate life hack to getting shit done as a mom .. beginning healthy habits in the early morning hours is a game changer.. it sets the tone of your entire day and really sets you up for success.

There is something about feeling you have the world to yourself that's really empowering.. and seeing the sunrises are just the cherry on top!

I mean it when I say that starting your day bright and early it a game changer. Before the rest of the world is even up you have already completed so much. This sense of accomplishment sets you up for a positive and successful day. I know creating new habits, especially ones that start at the crack of dawn, can be challenging.. but trust me when I tell you that it'll be worth it. For me life changing- the hit of dopamine you get from feeling accomlished first thing will wake you up better than any giant cup of overpriced caffeine and sugar ever could- and without the crash...

Just give it a shot and see what I'm talking about...

Healthy choices start first thing, Wake up and get going...

Starting your day distraction free is something that has greatly improved my life. Being a mom we all know we are constantly being pulled in multiple directions. These little people we created need something from us ALL THE TIME... taking the morning back feels amazing.. even if it means starting earlier than we typically would... First thing in the morning try getting up and starting your day.. when you hear that alarm go off it can be tempting (especially at first) to hit snooze and stay in your warm, cozy bed for as long as you can stretch it. Instead just get up and get going. Brush your teeth, wash your face, throw on you runners, and get in some morning movement. There is no better way to wake yourself up than by moving your body.. you set the tone for an active day, clear your mind, and feel so recharged.

You can chose any movment that feels right for you.. I prefer to get outside and walk my dog followed by one of the strength training routines I've made for myself and if I have the time I'll hope on the elliptical for 20 minutes where I plan my day while getting in my cardio. This is just what works for me... For you it could be anything, maybe you prefer running, or hitting the gym.. maybe some gentle yoga is your jam.. whatever it may be, movement in the morning wakes you up and sets the tone for your day. This is also great because, no matter how busy the day ahead may get you have already completed your workout for the day, your prioritized your health and fitness, which is something to be proud of...

Movement in any form is great, do what feels right for you.. ( i am currently working on shooting some example workout videos that will be posted as soon as they are ready) but for now you can find so many great videos for all fitness levels on youtube.. I personally am a big fan of Pamela Reif… stack multiple of her videos for a great workout!!

Gratitude work- a healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body..

Gratitude work isn't just a fad... it's literally life changing.. you control you reality and when you're grateful for what you have the world opens up for you..

Gratitude work can come in many forms.. Journaling, meditation, deep breathing during a peaceful full body stretch, scripting or just counting the things you are grateful for while sitting with the feeling....

I personally love journaling.. writting out what I'm grateful for...planning my life and reflecting is so therapeutic for me... getting the words out of my mind and onto paper is so energizing and empowering..

I'll journal about what is going on in my life currently and pick out all the little things to be greateful for.. some days I'll script ( meaning writting as myself in the future) - what does life look like now.. how do I feel.. what does a typical day in my perfect life look like..

Whatever you choose on any given day is up to you.. 5 minutes, 25 minutes.. whatever works for you, even if all yoy have time for is some deep breathing and try to get youyrself into a state of gratitude and I guarentee you will see the benefits.

Now that you're feeling healthy mind, body and spirit you're ready to take on your day!!\

Routine helps big time in creating healthy habits that last. Try this as a new routine for at least 3 weeks. Tweak it if you have to and find what works for you..

I hope you give it a shot... I promise it'll be worth it.. For me starting each day in a healthy way has helped me so much in becoming an all around happier person.. I have more energy, and am a better person for my family and for myself.. The goal isn't a certain weight or to have a 6 pack.. its the feeling you will have when you reach what you think you want.. we all want to feel truly happy, confident, and proud of who we are.. thats the root of almost every goal we set when you break it down.. and something as simple as getting up an hour earlier can help you to get to that feeling.. of pure happiness.. it is worth it.. you just have to put in the time and remember you are worth it!
